Pickathon Festival 2012 returns to Pendarvis Farm near Portland, OR on August 3-5. And while Pickathon already released the original lineup, they have now added War on Drugs, THEEsatisfaction, Thee Oh Sees and Cardboard Songsters. Equally impressive, the festival released details on its environmental policies, claiming to be the greenest festival in the country. Pickathon will do away with all single use beer cups, water bottles, dishware, utensils and containers. Personal stainless steel cups will be given out to festival participants. Additionally, Pickathon is using local lumber for repair and beautification of festival grounds. Finally, they’ll be using local solar power for festival needs. Go Pacific Northwest!
