Judging by the array of reactions to yesterday’s news that Nirvana would be reuniting to play live for the first time Kurt Cobain’s death two decades ago, many people will be interested in this post. Nirvana’s remaining members Dave Grohl and Krist Novaselic took the stage with the Beatles’ Paul McCartney (who more or less filled in for Cobain) to perform at the Hurricane Sandy 12-12-12 Benefit Show. Now, they didn’t play a purely Nirvana set. In fact, it was only one song. But it was easily the best song of the 12-12-12 concert evening and the hardest thing McCartney has done in years. Honestly, it was a great song. 70 year old McCartney held up real well here.
