If you're a regular reader here, you most likely have heard word of Boise's Treefort Music Festival. Only just finishing it's second year a handful of days ago, Treefort has already established a solid name for itself in both Pacific Northwest & national indie music conversations. While many festivals lay claim to featuring "emerging artists" and community integration, ask any band or attendee that has participated in Treefort and you'll quickly understand the Boise gang isn't just paying lip-service.
Having grown closer to the Boise music community and it's active members over the past few years, I can definitely attest that there is something unique and vibrant occurring in the City of Trees. For our second Sound Excited podcast, we speak with festival director Eric Gilbert about the nature of Treefort, the DIY & community ethos and how this year's festival went down.
