I’ve been waiting for Seattle, WA’s Pickwick to emerged as “Seattle’s Next Big Thing” for a bit, though that  label is irrelevant to what the soul gang is doing and I think they could care less about it. Regardless, they keep churning out beautiful tunes that demonstrate they’ll be more than ready for that label when it arrives. Yesterday, they realized an incredible Blogothèque style video of a performance of “Blackout” in the University of Washington’s Suzzallo Reading Room. For those familiar with the room, I’d love to know how the hell they pulled that off. For those that haven’t, the acoustics and character of the room still come through on the video. Watch it below.

And in other Pickwick news, they recently released their Myths EP and performed at Seattle’s City Arts Festival. Their next performance is December 8th at the Neptune Theater in Seattle. Pick up tickets here.
