Here We Go Magic are preparing to release their much-anticipated new album A Different Ship on May 8th. They’ve already released single “How Do I Know“. Now the band has released a video for the single. The video is directed by Sean Pecknold, brother of Fleet Foxes Robin Pecknold. Robin’s made a number of incredible videos before, including work for Beach House, Fleet Foxes and Grizzly Bear. He’s also a got a new film in the works. Anyhow, Sean was apparently turned onto Here We Go Magic by his brother Robin on a road trip and the rest worked out:

“I was driving from Joshua Tree to Palm Springs on the highway, and my brother who was privy to the new Here We Go Magic record, said ‘You have to hear this song.’ So he put it on and we listened to it a couple times all 5 of us smiling with the wind in our hair. Then literally as we pulled into the parking lot in Palm Springs I got a message from the band about maybe doing a video for that very song.” –Sean Pecknold
