Seattle Weekly has named The Globes Seattle’s “Best Rock Band of 2011”. The quartet released their debut LP Future Self earlier this year on Barsuk, played Sasquatch and have seemingly been on the road ever since. I’ve had the chance to chat with the guys on a few occasions and actually interviewed Erik (coming soon) and they’ve been standout individuals on each occasion. As we share the hometown of Spokane, WA, I also couldn’t be more proud of the guys for representing the city musically. Additionally Erin Thompson, who wrote the SW article, made a great point that “the level of pretension is zero”. Couldn’t agree more and it’s extremely refreshing to see. We wish the Globes the best of luck on their tour.
