While I mentioned Shabazz Palaces is the most unlikely artist to be at Pickathon Festival 2013, Ty Segall will certainly stand out as well. The Californian garage rocker is one of the finest stick shredders on the west coast. Additionally, Ty’s prolific record output will allow him a satchel of songs to draw from. Though I don’t think Pickathon & moshing go hand in hand, academic studies confirm 94% of Segall concerts lead to stage-diving and rowdy pits. His show at the Fillmore in San Francisco this January yielded plenty of the that plus on stage make-outs. May Ty Segall light up the Pendarvis farm this year.
