If you were looking forward to seeing Passion Pit on their new tour and catching material from their new album Gossamer, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but they’ve cancelled upcoming dates. Leadman Michael Angelakos posted the following statement of explanation:

On behalf of the band and myself, I would like to greatly apologize for the show cancelations. In order for me to ensure that there will be no further disruptions, I am going to take the time to work on improving my mental health. For now, I’d like to thank all of our fans for their understanding. I hope to see all of you very soon in a much different light.

Gossamer is out next week, on July 24. Watch Passion Pit’s “Take A Walk” video, track plus the M Machine remix. Guess this puts a new light on recently released Passion Pit track “I’ll Be Alright“.
