Maybe it’s Election Fever. Maybe it’s End of the World Madness. But My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields has announced that MBV will at long last release a follow-up to 1991 classic Loveless album (listen below). This makes for a full, 21 year wait between the records. Granted, Kevin has been talking about this album for, literally, decades. And it’s gone through so many false starts that it’s tough to believe this news. But keep your eyes peeled. A few thoughts from Shields on the album:
“People who like us will immediately connect with something. Based on the very, very few people who’ve heard stuff– some engineers, the band, and that’s about it– some people think it’s stranger than Loveless. I don’t.”
