My fellow Washingtonians (the state, not the corrupt one) may be well aware that us citizens have the chance to make our state the first to defend equal marriage rights via a vote. This fall, we’ll vote on Referendum 74. Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard already released a PSA supporting the referrendum earlier this summer. Seattle rapper Macklemore went a step further and recorded a new track called “Same Love” that genuinely and passionately explores  the issue. May be the best song I’ve heard addressing equal marriage rights. Give it a listen, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis did an excellent job. “Same Love” is featured on Macklemore’s upcoming LP The Heist, out October 9th.
