Happy Monday and hope your 2013 is off to a wonderful start. My work started playing the all 80’s “80’s on Eight” XM station before Christmas and hasn’t changed it since. Those early feelings of nostalgia and some guilty pleasure have now faded and pretty much turned to annoyance. But I could listen to “99 Luftballoons”, courtesy of Germany’s Nena, a few more times. Fun fact: the song was written about balloons released at a Rolling Stones concert in West Germany, their likeness to UFO’s and what might happen if they drifted over the Berlin Wall to the Soviet side.
