Happy Monday, everyone. Welcome back from the Turkey Day break. Hope it was a splendid time for you and yours. For today’s Happy Monday tuneage, we’ve got Miles Davis’ “So What”. The track is from his legendary 1959 album Kind of Blue. The album signaled a major turning point for Davis and jazz at large, as Miles moved from bebop jazz to “modal” jazz, basically jazz that was not based upon chord changes but rather scales. Kind of Blue is largely regarded as the best and most imporant jazz album ever made, as well as the best selling jazz album ever.
