This spring at SXSW, I soundchecked the mics before Das Racist’s set and got thrown off stage. Since then, the NYC rappers have been pretty busy with their respective solo releases. Heems new record Wild Water Kingdom is out this fall and Kool AD’s California-inspired 51 mixtape is one of my favorite rap albums of this year.
