Seattle folk staple Damien Jurado is rounding out an excellent 2012 in which he released arguably the best album of his career, Maraqopa. With as prolific as Damien has been through his music making years, he’s certainly undertaken Christmas tunes before. But he’s put out his first original Christmas tune now, plus an accompanying video. It’s called “Kalla Hus”. Little bit of a downer song, albeit beautiful, as Jurado repeats “I will never see this Christmas”. I believe I saw Damien smile for the first time ever during Tyler Kahlberg’s “Museum of Flight” video. I hope you have a excellent and enjoyable Christmas, Damien Jurado.
