Treefort Festival Preview: Buffalo Death Beam

While the site is fairly flooded with previews from that one music festival that’s about to hit Austin, there’s actually another remarkable festival just around the corner. Boise’s inaugural Treefort Festival has compiled an unreal line-up for a first-year festival and we’ll be doing our best to break it down and offer some gems (#idahonicknamepun) from the Treefort Lineup. New AoT member Ryan Campbell put together this preview on Buffalo Death Beam.

Hailing from Pullman, WA, Buffalo Death Beam offer an eclectic mix of modern, folk-inspired melodies with eerily beautiful harmonies. The blend of acoustic riffs with violin, banjo, mandolin and piano create a striking backdrop to their stunning vocals and inventive lyrics. Since forming at Washington State University in 2009, the band has been very busy performing with other artists, such as Local Natives, Dawes, Horse Feathers, Y La Bamba, Joe Pug, Cedric Watson (Grammy Nominee) and many other great bands. Swing by their website where you can listen to (and potentially by) their full length album Salvation for Ordinary People. And watch “Where Do All The Donkeys Go?” below. Buffalo Death Beam will also be playing the Treefort Music Fest 2012, Thursday, March 22nd, 8pm at the Linen building.
