Noise Pop 2016 arrives to the Bay Area from February 19-28 as dozens of artists fill venues across San Francisco and Oakland. General music badges are on sale now for $175. These badges get you into all non-seated general admission shows, happy hours, and Noise Pop HQ events. Plus you get $20 free Lyft credit–a necessity for Noise Pop. Additionally, you can cop tickets to all of the individual shows here.
As we countdown to Noise Pop 2016, we’re giving away a pair of tickets to Hamilton Leithauser & Paul Maroon at Swedish American Hall on Friday, February 26. Those familiar with seminal NYC aughts band The Walkmen surely recognize the talents of Leithauser and Maroon. While The Walkmen have been on “extreme hiatus”, Leithauser and Maroon have continued their own musical endeavors, including the former’s 2014 Black Hours solo album and their collaborative Dear God album last autumn.
Dear God found Leithauser and Maroon freed from the typical rock structures and roles of their Walkmen days. Yet the duo retained elements of what made their former band so impressive in the first place. Moreover, Dear God was only available in a very limited run of vinyl. So here’s your chance to hear these rare cuts. You can stream “How and Why” below, as well as enter the giveaway. Also scope our feature on Noise Pop.
Giveaway entries close at 9pm PST on Sunday, February 14th.Winners will be announced and notified on Monday, February 15th.
