In case you missed it, Vampire Weekend have been caught up in a court case with one Ann Kirsten Kennis since the release of their Contra album. Long story short, the photographer that shot the album cover (back in 80’s) forged the consent release form. Kennis sued and took both Vampire Weekend and their label XL Recordings to court. Vampire Weekend and XL settled with Kennis out of court and apparently the case has been dismissed by LA federal court. As for the photographer himself, Tod Brody, he is now legally representing himself after failing to pay his lawyers.
