I heard that White Rabbits referred to themselves as “”honky tonk calypso” music. Whether or not that is true, I cannot say. I can say that their brand of New York dance-rock is refreshing and worth listening to. Their integration of “calypso”, reggae and rock into dance tunes is equal parts Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Of Montreal, and Wolf Parade.
