Experimental, instrumental duo Talkdemonic was certainly making solid music before Isaac Brock and his Glacial Pace record label took notice. But it certainly didn’t hurt the Portland group to have the Modest Mouse frontman on their side. Since joining up with Brock, Talkdemonic have toured extensively, including stops at major festivals like Sasquatch and dates in Brazil, and released their newest LP Ruins. Ruins was one of our favorite albums of 2011, and watching their performance at MusicfestNW 2011 demonstrated Talkdemonic is only honing in their tight, poignant, dynamic brand of instrumental rock.
