We heard word that the Shins would be delivering a new album back in August. But now we’ve got concrete details. The new album is titled Port of Morrow. The image above is the album cover. James Mercer handled pretty much all of the album duties on this one, including songwriting, vocals and the majority of instrumentation. Port of Morrow will be out in March of 2012. Tour dates will be announced shortly, but the tour lineup will include Mercer plus Yuuki Matthews (bass), Jessica Dobson (guitar), Richard Swift (keyboards) and Joe Plummer (drums). Interestingly enough, Jessica Dobson just opened for Pickwick last week. And Richard Swift is currently producing Pickwick‘s album. Watch a new song from the album below.
