Upon first hearing “Deluca” from Gothenburg, Sweden’s Ruby Empress, one would imagine the song is a product of Scandinavia’s incredibly bright, 18-hours-of-daily-sunlight summers. Interestingly, Ruby Empress’ own Tom Sterner shared that “Deluca was meant to be about a relationship. In hindsight, it turned out as a song about struggling with the Scandinavian weather”.

Regardless, Ruby Empress “Deluca” is a vivid, warm, kaleidoscopic dose of psyche pop. The band will be releasing their debut EP next month via Yunizon Records.
