One of the pleasant surprises of 2011 has been Athens-based experimenters Reptar (cue: Rugrats jokes). Their song “Context Clues” immediately struck me with an Animal Collective vibe and an uncanny resemblance to Avey Tare’s vocals. Anyhow, the band’s new EP “Oblangle Fizz Y’All” is now streaming and you can listen to it right here. Additionally, the band is playing at both Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. Plus, they’ve got tour dates with Cults and Foster the People coming up. Not too shabby… Tour dates below.
