Well this makes for an interesting 12-12-12… While iconic grunge act Nirvana obviously has not played live since Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994, apparently remaining members Krist Novaselic and Dave Grohl will be reuniting to perform Nirvana songs with, get this, Beatle Paul McCartney subbing in for Cobain (via the Guardian). As the story indicates, they became “jam mates” although McCartney wasn’t all to familiar with who they were. Someone shared that it was Nirvana and he got the point. Their reunion would be for the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy relief event this evening.
