Chet Faker announced he will be changing his artist name to his actual name, Nick Murphy, this week. Murphy shared the following regarding the rebranding:

its been half a decade since I started releasing music as Chet Faker and all of you have been the driving force behind the music since. theres an evolution happening and I wanted to let you know where its going. the next record will be under my own name, Nick Murphy. Chet Faker will always be a part of the music. This is next.

With the news, Murphy also dropped a new track titled “Fear Less”. Chet Faker fans will be glad to know that “Fear Less” doesn’t stray too far from the Faker formula. Watch for upcoming tour dates from Murphy.
