When Nate Salman isn’t providing his vocals and dance moves for Toro y Moi side project Les Sins or fronting Oakland’s Waterstrider, he’s simply crafting jams that serve “as a remedy for days when it feels like we’re waiting for the world to end.” If you’ve not yet checked out Mr Salman’s main band Waterstrider, I highly recommend doing so. However, today Nate shares his newest single. “Be Alright” showcases his vocals and dynamic songwriting, which shouldn’t be a surprise to Waterstrider fans. Yet the “Be Alright” demonstrates his growth in new directions, perhaps influenced by teaming up with fellow East Bay musician Chaz Bundick (Toro y Moi). The upbeat vibes make for an accessible entrance for strangers to Nate’s music.
