Seattle trio Dude York have returned to follow up their 2014 Dehumanize LP with a pair of singles today. Dude York shared “Lose Is” and “Lose Control”, available to purchase here. The new tracks mark a change of direction for Dude York. “Love Is” and “Lose Control” still embody Dude York’s impassioned, energetic, no bullshit rock. Yet where Peter Richards may have been the song writing force in years past, Claire English penned “Love Is”. This came as welcome change for Dude York and a step forward in their collaboration. Claire shared the following on “Love Is”:
It’s about the balance between turning experiences into art and the line you cross when you realize someone’s a person and a participant in your stories as much as you are in theirs’
