You may recall a year ago when Flying Lotus came out under a new rap alias (Captain Murphy) via a track called “Between Friends“. That track was for Adult Swim’s single series and featured his pal Earl Sweatshirt. The duo have returned with DOOM (as Vikton Vaughn here) on the new song “Between Villians”.
Bowling Green’s Cage the Elephant will return with their third LP Melophobia on RCA Records this fall. They shared the album’s first single “Come A Little Closer” via BBC. Have a listen. Bit of a change in direction, but I still dig it.
The Bay Area’s Treasure Island music festival has announced the 2013 lineup. The festival, which takes place on its namesake island between SF & Oakland, will go down from October 19-20 this fall.
