This Monday, my own band Jacen Magnolia returned from our Pacific Northwest Recession Rock tour. Along the way, we ended up playing with a band in Portland that stood on tables, danced outside on the sidewalk (midshow) and had a shadowy dive bar roaring. Moreover, when they announced we were playing next, it provoked one guy to yell that he didn’t want anything to do with our band, just more Autonomics. Long story short, in rock vernacular, they “fucking killed it”.

Anyhow, they’re beginning their own tour tonight in Corvallis. If you’re in the PNW, I highly recommend checking them out. They’ve got an unbelievably refreshing energy, cocksure straightforwardness and solid punk roots. Full tour dates below as well as their stupidly catchy “You’re a Hot Mess and Everyone Knows”.
