On August 4, Oakland-based label Empty Waves will release the debut album of Berkeley’s A/S/L, Love Will Let You Down. The duo of Linnae Dosumu and Cliff Mattis have been referenced with Purity Ring and Burial, while fans of Glasser and Braids may also find similarities in A/S/L. The band has shared Love Will Let You Down track “Le Monde est à Nous” as the August 4 release date nears.

A/S/L “Le Monde est à Nous” is a beautiful track that begins with stark piano backing Dosumu’s delicate yet impassioned vocals. “Le Monde est à Nous” hazily builds into a hypnotic drop and works with contrasts throughout the track.
