Way back in the glorious yesteryear of 2010, Philly’s good time rock band Free Energy put out a hell of a record, albeit very underrated, called Stuck On Nothing via James Murphy’s DFA Records. The band mixed free-wheelin, pleasant classic rock vibes with their own upbeat twist. Just listen to that album’s “All I Know” below and see if you don’t enjoy it. Anyhow, I thought they’d disappeared, but they’ve returned with a brand new single plus they’ve announced a new album. You can stream single “Dance All Night” below or download it. Additionally, Lovesign–the new record–will be out on Free Energy’s own label (Free People) on 1/15.
