Our SXSW 2012 preview continues with a New York musician who’s made his way through an assortment of genres and made it very difficult for me to type 25 characters and summarize his career, believe it or not. Matthew Dear is an incredible artist who’s most recent’s 2012 effort Headcage offers a groovy, atmospheric take on his previous electronic work. Check out the self-titled single below. Additionally, his 2010 Black City and 2003 Leave Luck to Heaven are stellar. “In Unbending”, off the latter, may be my favorite Dear track.
