Vetern rappers Mos Def and Talib Kweli have each had incredibly successful solo careers, but perhaps the finest LP in each of those careers was their joint 1998 effort Blackstar. If you haven’t heard that record, you should grab it immediately. Seriously. But those who already have will appreciate the tandem getting back together recently for the Rock the Bells fest. Last night the Blackstar duo swung through the Colbert Report. Stephen was sure to give them their fair share of shit (most notably about Mos Def now going by the name “Yasilin Bey”.
