Staten Island’s experimental shoegaze rock quartet Cymbals Eat Guitars have announced a fall tour in support for their upcoming sophomore album Lenses Alien. The tour will kick off in Boston in late September and carry the crew across the country before returning to NYC’s Bowery Ballroom for a final date at the end of October. The majority of the dates are paired with psych-pop group Hooray for Earth. As for Lenses Alien itself, Cymbals Eat Guitars elected to move from their former Brooklyn space to the New Jersey basement of new bassist Matthew Whipple to avoid distraction and/or parking tickets. Lenses Alien is being produced by John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., Murder City Devils & Breeders) and will be out September 13th on Barsuk.
