Astronauts Etc and Bells Atlas band member Doug Stuart unveiled his new solo project Jinn Grin today. The Bay Area musician’s new, four track EP The Answer arrives on June 14th and Stuart released the album’s title track this morning. “The Answer” is a glistening, gorgeous song that Stuart uses as a canvas for his well-honed, instrumental experience. Bells’ bandmate Geneva Harrison covers snare and Anton Patzner adds dashes of violin while Stuart covers all other instrumentation. It reminds of a brighter take on early Radical Face. Akin to the album cover, “The Answer” conjures images of the dreamy, tranquil magic hour just before the sun finally settles beneath the horizon.
