Earlier this year, the nebulous BOYBOY project put a single track called “Boy” online. In the past few weeks, the blogosphere caught wind of “Boy” as well as new track “None of Your Love”. Little is known about BOYBOY at this point, though he shared he’s from New Zealand and currently resides in Los Angeles.

Regardless, that’s basically irrelevant at this point because BOYBOY “None of Your Love” and “Boy” are on point. The songs fuse post-chillwave production, groovy funk, pop sensibilities and affected vocals. Toro y Moi has been a common reference point thus far. But we’re excited to see what lane BOYBOY continues to carve out for himself.
