Oakland’s Jackson Phillips continues with his Day Wave project. On March 4th, Phillips will release the new Day Wave Hard to Read EP via Grand Jury. Phillips wrote, recorded, mixed and mastered Hard to Read. 

Jackson also shared Hard to Read‘s lead single. “Gone” follows Day Wave’s pattern of intricate, tight, rhythm guitar-driven, bedroom cuts. Gemini-era Wild Nothing and early Beach Fossils are signposts here. Stream Day Wave “Gone” below and pre-order Hard to Read before March 4.
