Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio has quietly put together an excellent side project under his BAIO moniker. For those unfamiliar with the project, 2013’s “Mira” and last year’s “On&On&On&On” are great places to start. BAIO’s full-length debut The Names arrives September 18 via Glassnote Records. BAIO “The Names”, the album’s first single, is now streaming. Additionally, BAIO released The String Sessions for “The Names” and “Sister Pearl“. The String Sessions are were recorded at King’s Head in London with a four-piece string section.
