Plastic Picnic "In Your Mind"
This morning we premiere a new track from Brooklyn’s Plastic Picnic. The quartet is composed of Pacific Northwest transplants Emile Panerio, Lincoln Lute, Gordon Taylor and Marshall Hunt. Plastic Picnic’s “In Your Mind” is the second track in a pair the band recorded with producer/engineer Ted Young, following May’s “Nausea in Paradise“. “In Your Mind” displays the band’s capacity for poignant arrangements, tight instrumentation and altogether tranquil vibes. The band’s Emile Panerio shared the following on the new song:

In Your Mind is a cautionary song about never ignoring your subconscious.  The idea of being aware of inner desires and following through with them, instead of clouding your earnest life direction with distractions—mostly material.  Sacrifices are key to a successful relationship / job / life, but I think I have a thick fear of waking up in this white picket life, not fulfilled, with that subconscious awareness of what you truly wanted finally rising to the surface when it’s too late.  I feel like realizing that fear in each other only strengthens relationships.
