Low Weather "Rehearse"

This morning, we’re excited to premiere a new track from Seattle’s Low Weather. Functioning as the musical vehicle for Mikey Trieb, Low Weather previously released full-length album Fear in 2014 and single “Feel” last fall. Today we share Low Weather’s “Rehearse”.

Where earlier Low Weather material found Trieb–a Sub Pop intern–working with guitar-centric arrangements, “Rehearse” is oriented around several spacey synths. A seemingly simple bass line guides the track’s low end and will likely burrow into your memory. Trieb shared that he created the track in ten minutes via Garage Band. His affinity for avoiding overproduction kept “Rehearse” in its early form.

Low Weather “Rehearse” Lyrics
The way the paint peals off your car almost makes it look like you don’t care
Like something sympathizable has happened therefore sending you there

To where you still rehearse more articulate words to say to her

Hard decisions, intersections, blind-folded, bag over your head
Every cut destroys you cause you haven’t formed the callouses yet

In case you haven’t heard
There’s power in your words if you rehearse

Oh the looks you’d like to make at anybody sweet enough to say

“Hate to see you lonely all the time”
